Quoting from menace3000:

My goal has been 725 with belt and chalk. Will give it a shot next week. Hopefully my grip will hold.
=============

That's a huge lift. I'll be cheering you on from afar. Best of luck to you!

Quoting from jbennett:

I hit 495x5 on my last set yesterday. I think I can do 510-515 for 5 reps next time.

As a side note... At this same time last year, my 1RM was only 480.

Very nice!

Attempted 605 (belt and chalk)... didn't pull it past my knees. I'm extremely disappointed with myself. I'm not going to dwell on it. I'll pull it soon...

I just pulled 590 raw (belt and chalk only) for a new PR. It felt good. I honestly think I could have hit 600 today, but my next meet is only a little more than 3 weeks away; I'll get it then...

I never really did deadlifts back in my hardcore training days, just squats and hangcleans. Last week was my first time in 5 yeasrs even attempting and I finished my workout with 585lbs for 2 reps (belt, wrist straps). I would like to eventually get up to 750lbs. Is this possible in 3 months?)

Monday after squatting I did some DL. Got 385x3 and went for a double on 405. Been 3 years since I hit 405x2 and Monday night I nailed it!!!! And this was at a 75lb body weight difference from the last time I got it.

I am not at the level you guys are at, but I am still proud of my weight lol. I am deadlifting 195 for 50 reps during my workout. OBVIOUSLY in separate sets, but my form is not sufficiant, nor my support muscles strong enough to go for any kind-a max out without risking injury.

Now, to make that sound impressive: I moved nearly Ten-Thousand pounds approximatly three feet!

Raven I have moved to a few different forums as this one is dead.

I hang a bit on sherdog strength/conditioning forum, bodybuilding.com, and a couple other strength sites.

I weigh 154lbs (70kg), and my 1RM for deadlifts is 242lbs (110kg).

Not bad considering I've only been training for a year and a half.

I honestly have no idea. Every time I want to try deadlifting, I feel like it is really bad for my back or that I am going to do too much weight and hurt myself. Our football team did it to stretch our hamstrings (just the bar), but we never did it as an actual workout. So I have a question for you - How the heck do you do deadlifts, and do you need any type of safety stuff like spotters, etc?

Also, if anyone wants to get fit and tone, check out the websites below for a short workout confined to 10 or 30 minutes. And the best part is that it doesn't require any weights, which is actually better for your health. And if you like it, feel free to share it with your friends and networks (facebook, twitter, etc.)

185 lbs ive only dl'd a couple times but i was able to do 455 raw and then i did 540 on a machine that lets u grip sideways. I grew up lifting heavy stuff though so that may help.
