Hi, my name is Staciann (Staci) I am a 29 year old mom of a nine year old daughter and 6 and a half year old son. Needless to say, I have had plenty of time to lose my "baby weight" but I like to take my time... LOL!
I was 197 (5 feet 6 inches) and I am now STUCK at 155. I have tried every type of exercise plan from jogging, weight training, to yoga but I have a hard time sticking with one particular plan. I get bored easy, and I am always looking for something different. I am hoping to find a program that works, and is easy to stick with. With 30 around the corner, I need to get with it!!! |

HI I just joined. Growing up I was never fat because I ate well and was very active in sports. (I did gymnastics, figure skating, ballet, and track 6x a week) Anways after having 3 kids this last child just did it for me. I cant seem to lose the weight I gained. (I gained 60 pounds during my pregnancy) I am not sleeping as well so I have 22 pounds to go even though my child is one years old. What I really miss is my energy. Its so hard to keep up with the kids when your so tired all the time. I started my workout today and I hope to have the energy I once had. I would really like my old body back too =)

Greetings from sunny South Africa... My name is Willem though my friends call me Wimpie. I'm 27 going on 28 currently weighing in at 83Kg and about 14% body fat according to FT's calculators. I only started training back in 2005 after I stopped smoking. I use to weigh 60Kg till I started training.
I've tried 2 other programs with great success but seemed to pick up some extra "meat" due to poor nutritional guidelines. I hope to see lean muscle gains in the next 12 months equally 10 - 15 kg. Thanks guys from a truly inspiring site. The first day I registered I got so excited about the website that I went around work telling everyone about it, it bared some fruit. I got 6 colleagues to sign up. ___________ Good luck and god speed |

Hello everyone,
I'm a 52 yo female who is 5'2, wt-137 and goal of 122 for the last 5-10 years. I joined yesterday because I really want to accomplish my goal. 2 long-time barriers to lose weight-1)I love junk food and 2) I have a bad back (2 herniated discs) and a chonically sore left upper foot (Morton's neuroma) so I'm afraid to work out to vigorously. My inches are of even greater concern to reduce .I've been on Adkins, Weight Watchers, NutriSystem-nothing has worked for me, so I'm hoping this will be the way I can finally achieve my goals as everyone else in this program hopefully achieves their goals. I've been fed up with working out here lately & tired of not seeing results. I have 2 months to that I want to devote to a solid results producing workout to see if my body is capable of owning a 6 pack. They says it takes 21 days for a person to develop a habit, If I give it 2 months to developed a strong and well developed workout that produces results and keeps my body guessing then I feel I will be able to handle things after I lay a good foundation on my own. But until then I need help. I have decided I want to start focusing more on the definition of my muscles and constrict my diet better to get my results. I want that wash board ab stomach without losing muscle tone and size in other parts of my body and I hope by joining this website I will be get the answers I'm looking for.

WOOOHOO! Go nurses!!!
I will be an RN in a few months (just have to finish up my schooling) and I just joined this morning! I've always been weary of working out and exercising because it's expensive (gym memberships) and takes up a lot of my time; which I'm pretty sure means I'm subconsciously lazy and could care less about working out. But since I've started using a personal trainer ( my boyfriend... more like a drill sergent LOL) I've felt more motivation to try and actually do something about my weight. I'm hoping that this website will be able to help me meet my weight loss goals while saving money! I LOVE the fact that I can get a weight loss exercise program tailored for me to do at home. My next step is making sure I can get the nutrition part of my diet down properly. Gonna try Jenny Craig for a bit... we'll see how that goes! Anyway, just thought I'd say hi and give props to NURSES!!! ============ Quoting from ChelleRN: Hi! I just joined this site tonight. A friend and I currently use a personal trainer at the gym. We love it. I wanted to try this for those times when the trainer is not available (he is a full time student as well). I am a 27 year old Registered Nurse from Palm Springs, CA. I love my job! I recently (May 22) finalized my divorce to a very mentally and verbally abusive (older) man. I got tired of him constantly putting me down for my weight. He actually had gonads big enough to tell me (one day after graduating from nursing school) "You have gained an enormous amount of weight in nursing school. I am not attracted to you and eventually I will not love you anymore." Now keep in mind that he is about 60 pounds overweight himself. He justifies is though...he thinks it's okay for a man to carry a little extra weight. Anyway...enough about that jerk! I am here to change my life, start exercising 4-5 days a week, eat healthy! Hope it works...seems to be FULL of useful info and helpful tips. ============= -------------- .: Stephanie :. \"Wanna feel safe at night? Sleep with a nurse!\" |

Hello fellow fitness folk,
I'm starting this program (workout at home version) because I'm overweight and lazy and sedentary. I gain and lose and I don't think that's healthy so I'm looking for a program that I can wake up and do at home and not have the excuse of not wanting to go to the gym (which, btw, I can't afford at this point anyway). I do plan to keep close track of my food intake and exercise schedule with the convenient software on this site. I'm not in a hurry to lose weight, but steady gains will be important. I'm not one to hop on a scale every day, either. So I'm looking around on the site to help my meal-planning strategy, which I think is key. I look forward to future progress! rmward1 |

Hi, my name is Dee. I am 26 and in serious need of losing weight. I gained 80lbs when i was pregnant with my son. Haven't lost much since. Before that I was very athletic and unable to get over 125lbs. Now I am between 220-230lbs. I am extremely unhappy with this. I am hoping this is the right place. I must admit I am not as active as I use to be. I have a child and also have a rod in my right leg (broke it playing soccer). I just hope this place will provide me with the motivation I need. I have started exercising on numerous occasions and seen results. However, after a while I lose the will to keep doing it alone.
I moved to Miami in July where i had promptly began exercising. I went from 236lbs to 220 by September. I was very excited but was just unable to stay motivated enough to keep up the routine (even with the results :() |

Hi. I just joined this site hoping to get some information on maintaining a healthy diet while working out. I do kickboxing 4 days a week and body sculpting classes at the gym 2 days a week. I feel like I have the exercise thing down but I can't seem to lose weight and I know it's because I'm not eating right. I am trying to do Weight Watchers to see if that helps but if anyone has any helpful tips that would be great!

Hello all,
My name is Colette Miller...I am 20 (birthday is in 11 days!!!) I am a dance major at Wright State University, and I really love dance...I just need to lose weight in order to be truly successful at it. I have tried next to everything, and it has truly been a combo of lack of self motivation to complete the diet, or the diet just sucks. So I am hoping that this will help me out...I am keeping my fingers crossed....:dumbbell: |

Hi guys
I just joined this site, and it seems great! I used to work out very much about 2 years ago, and was in great shape, but I've kind of let myself go. It was a hard time for me, because I got an emancipation from my parents and was just pretty much depressed and kept to myself. But thanks to my best friend, I'm out of my "dark ages" and I'm trying to get out there. She advised me that the first step I need to take is to care about myself. So here I am! I'm actually really excited! haha. It's been so long since I've done anything like this, or cared about anything at all. But I'm here, and I'm going to stick to this plan! 2009 is going to be the first year in my new life! Who's with me??! I'm glad I found this site, everyone here seems so supportive. Anyway, I wish all of my fellow newcomers the best of luck! :) __Hillary |
