hey fly, if someone was reading this from your work, wouldn't they recognize your pictures anyway? lol!
Okay here goes, I am Ravenbeauty, my real name is Bettia I have been a member of freetrainers since 2001. I love fitness, and in the years been through some rough patches and good times. I've ran several half marathons as well as small 5k's, walks etc. I just recently completed the 2006 Seattle To Portland Bicycle Classic (a 200 mile race) and an now training to live out the rest of my life and the womans danskin triathalon for 2007. It will be my first tri. I am still married, but separated and working on reconciliation, I have 4 wonderful human beings that God gave me the privelege of mothering. They are my rock. I have several friends here at freetrainers and have loved every moment on here, from the whackos to the solid teams, from George the admin to Rev* & Mutt! You all in your own way have been my inspiration and I will never, never leave this place until my last breath....or the site goes down.. LOL! Welcome all and nice to meet you! -------------- Bettia.... You can't depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus. -Mark Twain ravenbeauty@freetrainers.com |

54, will be 55 in a couple months(December). Started training around age late 20's. Got tired of being the proverbial skinny kid. Always played sports, was deathly afraid of being picked on the 'skins' teams. :) Kind of 'nerd' on the science of the body and how it works. Love that stuff. Been into nutrition since way back when there were just corner health food stores, nothing in the news about this for health or that.
Am an industrial electrician, work on robotics, do PLC programming, troubleshooting of high tech industrial equipment electronics. Originally from the midwest, St. Louis, recently accepted a buyout at work and followed a dream of moving to the mountains area in Colorado. Love it here. Wild horses couldn't drag me back! Do the same thing here I did back in the midwest, just a place where I am much happier to be. Go hiking in the mountains alot, bike riding, etc. Just love the outdoors here. Sad part was I had to give up my dog...no pets where I moved. :( I really miss her. (oh yeah, the grandkids too! :)) -------------- Maximus from Gladiator....Strength and Honor! |

Hello everyone--
I'm Kathy and I'll be 45 in a couple of weeks. I have four kids ranging in age from 18 to 23. Boys on the ends, girls in the middle (yeah, 2 of each). I've been divorced nearly nine years which is pretty much how long I've been with my bf. Between us we have four dogs (2 each) and a sweet, sweet kitty. I joined my first gym when I was 14 and have been off and on and maybe not really knowing what I'm doing but always trying not to keep my weight from getting out of control. Although I have worked out with weights for the past several years, not until I found FT in April of this year did I really get serious and consistent with the weights and my diet. If I can see some serious body fat reduction soon, I am considering training for figure competition (am I too old?) I love this place, the people here, and although I might be a little more shy than some, I am happy to contribute when I feel that I can really help. And KC--you remind me so much of a woman at my work that when I read your posts I hear her voice! You are so wonderfully warm and fun...and look at all the posts you have under your belt! WOW!!! |

About my post above...I should stop myself from going back and editing. I meant to say 'always trying to keep my weight from getting out of control' not what I said, which makes no sense and I'm sure you figured that out but I hate sounding stupid. Most likely you just skimmed and missed it anyway...but for the record :-).
