yeah thats for sure. I guess its time for my next prediction and im going to stay with the same as my last series. Philly will take out the penguins in 6. In detail, philly will take one of the penguins first 2 home games and win all of there home games, therefore taking the series in game 6 in Philly!

my prediction penguins in 6 red wings in 6
if the flyers want to win they need to stay out of the box which they have a hard time doing against pittsburgh. Pittsburgh's power play is potent look at what it did to the rangers 5 on 5 pretty even but when the penguins got on the power play look out those red wings are scary good right now. stars win in 4OT |

yeah malkin was only back there because he was hit at the other end on what should have been a penalty.
Did anyone see the end of the red wings game. that stick to the chest of Osgood was uncalled for. i guess osgood hit him with the end of his stick and he wanted payback. these guys need to control themselves sometime someones going to do this and the other guys not going to get up. Simon then that Nedeimer incident. Makes for some interesting hockey though. |

Yeah well im not giving up on the flyers yet. Lets see how the penguins do in philly. Yeah i seen the Malking goal, wasn't it nice to see him cherry picking, that fat slob. I don't want to hear it was because he was laid out on our end. He had plenty of time to get back. He was sitting at the blue line hoping for a play. If he wants it to look like it took skill he should try to do it like richards did last night

warren they beat them twice. Besides that disallowed goal in game two should have counted the flyers got lucky there. it was across the line Not that it mattered as far as in philly i think they will split it 1-1.
even if that is true about malkin it worked didn't it. if anything it was smart. any news on Coburn? i guess nothing came out of the Osgood incident no surprise there. GO PENGUINS |

Pens and wings haven't won yet guys. the pens have went up 3-0 three straight series has that ever happened before?i know there only the 4th team to ever start 11-1 since the 83 Oilers
Stars will win tonight 4-3. guess coburn cant even open his eye and cant even play until it reopens. that had to hurt. |

Yeah the flyers look almost out of it. I do think they have a shot still to come back. Hey we did beat the #1 seed 4 straight times to advance. We just look down right awful right now. Losing the best defensemen on the team before the series and then losing coburn is rough. But no excuses, pitt is just outplaying the flyers.
And no I wouldn't call what malkin did "smart" i call it lucky. Almost everyone who plays hockey hates a cherry picker... The unallowed goal with Crosby was crazy close, I would have been fine with them allowing it. |

hey warren think of this just came to me
the islanders came back and beat Pittsburgh in 1975 down 0-3 that year the flyers won the cup now to win it they need to do it to pittsburgh. good game at the end 1-1 split in Philly see all those fights Philly fans are crazy looked like they were jumping over each other to get to the glass to watch the fights they were acting like they had just won the series. |

there done its over after Ottawa last year losing in 5 now Pittsburgh not even scoring once. Pittsburgh ran over the east. the east is looking bad right now so are the penguins.is the west just that good? a comeback would require a miracle im not going to defend them they are awful right now. hope we can at least score a goal next time. the minute the penguins would take the puck in detroit would carry it the other way.
hope for the best Penguins in 6 or 7 |

all right another pens fan im still not convinced they can come back Check this out its been fairly accurate hope it dont turn out this way...
According to WhatIf Sports, the Red Wings will dispatch the Penguins in five games to claim their first Stanley Cup title since 2002 and fourth in the last 11 seasons. That is what was determined in 10,000 Stanley Cup finals computer simulations conducted by WhatIf Sports, a fantasy sports Web site designed to simulate games between past and present sports teams using real historical statistics. After 10,000 simulations were run, the veteran Wings defeated the up-and-coming Penguins 68 percent of the time, with the most common occurrence a five-game series in which Pittsburgh will earn its only victory in Game 3 on home ice. The simulations were run using the actual 2007-08 regular season stats compiled by Detroit and Pittsburgh. Game 1 Pittsburgh 1 at Detroit 3 ? Mikael Samuelsson (2-1-3) and Henrik Zetterberg (1-2-3) provide the offense and Chris Osgood makes 26 saves to lead the Red Wings. Petr Sykora scores the only goal for the Penguins. Led by Pavel Datsyuk (two assists), Detroit also dominates faceoffs (73.8 percent). The three stars are Samuelsson, Zetterberg and Datsyuk Game 2 Pittsburgh 1 at Detroit 4 ? Detroit takes a 3-0 lead to chase Marc-Andre Fleury from the net early in the third period, the second-straight game he is replaced by Ty Conklin. Zetterberg and Valtteri Filppula (shorthanded) score in the second period, and defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom and Brian Rafalski (1-1-2) pad the lead in the third for the Wings. Sykora scores once again for the Pens. The three stars are Rafalski, Osgood (30 saves) and Filppula (1-1-2). Game 3 Detroit 0 at Pittsburgh 3 ? The Pens get revenge with two first-period goals from Ryan Malone, both assisted by Sykora and Evgeni Malkin, and Marian Hossa scores in the second, with Sidney Crosby earning his first career point in the Final. Fleury makes 23 saves for the shutout. The three stars are Fleury, Malone and Malkin. Game 4 Detroit 1 at Pittsburgh 0 ? Zetterberg scores the game?s only goal 13 seconds into the first period, assisted by Rafalski and Samuelsson, to give the Wings a 3-1 series lead. For the second straight game, only one penalty was called (Maxime Talbot, two minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct). The three stars are Osgood (35 saves), Fleury (29 saves) and Zetterberg. Game 5 Pittsburgh 3 at Detroit 4 ? In the wildest and highest-scoring game of the series, the Red Wings erase a 3-0 third period deficit with four unanswered goals, the last by Datsyuk at 5:17 of overtime, to capture the Cup at Joe Louis Arena. Hossa scored the first of his two goals only six seconds into the game, Malone also scores, and Crosby and Pascal Dupuis each record two assists. Pittsburgh squanders a brilliant 48-save performance by Fleury. Daniel Cleary began the comeback with his first goal of the series at 12:20 of the third period, and Zetterberg (1-1-2) and Filppula scored 1:01 apart late in the period to force overtime. Samuelsson recorded two assists and Osgood made 21 saves. The three stars are Datsyuk, Hossa and Fleury. Osgood is also awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as Stanley Cup Playoff MVP. In 18 games, he went 14-4 and permitted 28 goals. Zetterberg scored a goal in four of five games, and he and Samuelsson tie for the scoring lead in the Final with seven points each. Sykora (2-3-5) was the high scorer for Pittsburgh, one point ahead of Malone (3-1-4). In another simulation conducted by WhatIf before the playoffs began, their "super computer" gave Detroit (61.5 percent) and Pittsburgh (17.2 percent) the first and third best chances, respectively, of making the Stanley Cup Final. The original Stanley Cup Final prediction was Detroit over Montreal, giving the Red Wings a 51.1 percent chance of winning the Cup. GO PENS prove that wrong |

Well, it's done... congrats to Detroit. But, boy, was it close at the end.
Too little, too late from Malkin. My wife told me she heard he was basically give 'negative' reinforcement after the 'positive' kind didn't seem to be working. Can't just point fingers at him. i am so sick of all these ******* people calling Crosby a baby and a diver and all that other crap he is criticized for. he played hurt at the end of that series. Just like Jagr calling Crosby a diver its called drawing penalties and a lot of players do it. you know what everyone call Crosby what you want but i guarantee you would trade your teams top line just to get him on your team. Crosby is the face of the NHL and they are protecting him hes the future of the sport its that simple. Thats why even when the red wings were up in the series all the talk was about the penguins. fans from other cities go to games just to watch Crosby. So everyone out there who badmouths Crosby go watch some of the spectacular plays he has made and look at his accomplishments and leave the guy alone. honestly Crosby draws all these penalties and its the other team that crys not him. go pens we will be back
