I like anything intense. My favorite CDs to workout to are Disturbed, Static X, Slipknot, Godsmack, Mudvayne, etc. I can also workout to music from Chemical Brothers and Prodigy, but I love the intensity of heavier music. I used to not like it, but now its all I listen to when I'm working out. After my neighbor worked out with me a couple times, he asked me if he could borrow some of my CDs. I asked him why, because I knew that isn't the kind of music he likes. He told me that once I turned the music on, I turned into a totally different person and he wanted to lift like that, too. I let the music become a part of my workout. The more intense the song, the more intense I am. |

I like to listen to pretty much any hard rock(anything loud), but sometimes I mix it up by playing techno. I like to listen to techno whenever I am doing cardio. It helps keep me pumped up and it keeps me on a beat to. |

I agree.. its got to be hard or techno/dance. I cannot stand it when they play slow crap at the gym.. like Enrique or something.my 2 cents. .o0 Arnold 0o. |

I like to work out with old nice Rolling Stones...... But since I put the music on in the whole gym, I have to be careful with it though (since not everybody likes screamy Mick Jagger...) Actually, the music changes following the faces of my clients! lol No rap or Enrique here. PROMISE!! |

I would have to go with White Zombie and Metallica. Those are my personal favs. Then mix it up with AC/DC and Slipknot and such. Union Underground is good too. But White Zombie is best. The cd has subliminal messages in it that attack your subconcious mind and pump you up more than anything i've ever heard. It makes you and insane lifter. Its a rather old cd for this age of music but you should find it in a Sam Goody and such...Schrad |

Anything fast and heavy like Mudvayne, Slipknot, old Metallica, or Pantera just pumps me up like you wouldn't believe. |

deep/funky house....with smooth, sweet sexy female vocals over rolling beats and funky basslines......being a dj, i usually make my own mixes and put them on CD...for a sample of my mixed house sets, download the MP3s at http://www.djsire.com/mp3/seekingsusan_djsire.mp3 (68mb) or http://www.djsire.com/soundinmind.mp3 (62.mb) ... (both about 65-74 minutes long.)....Enjoy!-------------- -||---||- frank -||---||- |

Hey Sire that's cool. I got technics in my living room. I spin trance though, all my friends got the house vibe. It's too slow for me, especially for a workout. -------------- And my soul must be iron, because my fear is naked. I'm naked and fearless. |

I could not work out at all if I didn't have my Prodigy, The crystal Method, Ozzy, or Godsmack. If I don't have those then my workout is without. If I absolutely have to workout with anything else it better be loud and with a fast pace rythm. Also, during warm-up I listen to my Godsmack and stuff but during my cool down I listen to Depeche Mode or Dave Mathews. |

A ZZ Fan I am not... Also a rap fan I am not... So I thought the first blade soundtrack was garbage because they misrepresented it. Every single commercial had the techno playing, but buy the album and it's all rap save two tracks. Didn't bother with the second one. -------------- Practice does NOT make perfect. I'm having trouble here...180 something odd songs and only a few I like. I'm trying to find what I hope somebody will recognize as the type of music I like but haven't discovered.
Songs that I need are like these: Limp Bizkit-Rollin NAS--I know I can DMX--X Gonna Give It To Ya Limp Bizkit--Faith Rage Against the Machine--Killing in the name of Specifically, each of these songs either has an element that's not TOO TOO metally, but makes you want to jump out of your car and riot or it has some very unique yelling or instrumental mix with rap. I need more of this. I'm desperate basically for the type of music that a boxer would be playing on the way up to the ring. Metal that's too hard is just too non-rhythmical and treble-angry for me. As with Killing In The Name Of, it's not so much the whole song I like, as much as his yelling and the music with that. It needs to be defiant music but not cheap, and not kiddy, and not too anti-this race or that. After reading this, I hope somebody can advise some specific songs. I know that one of you has my number here... :D X -------------- --There are no versions of the truth.-- Jeff Goldblum, Jurassic Park II |
